I’ve always had a knack for building visual narratives and the creative process of transforming concepts into im- ages. It was a deep passion for aesthetics that let me eventually to a career in fashion. Given that art is the most mediate interpretation of abstract expressions arising in culture, I study how social phenomena reflect in art in- novations. The aim is to guide my work in fashion accordingly, for it to be an embodiment of today’s Zeitgeist.
The following collection is the embodiment of a series of conclusions reached through the analysis developed in my graduation thesis “Post-Postmodernism and Contemporary Art”, a philosophical and cultural inquiry of the postmodern phenomenon from its emergence to the present day. Which has as its main purpose to unravel the contemporary cultural traits of today’s Zeitgeist, and use them as inspiration for the design of the collection in order for it to be a reflection of late postmodernism’s spirit. The intention of the project is to visually recreate a Zeitgeist defined by feelings of anxiety, apathy, and bewilderment.
