The bachelor graduate collection of Alisia Wood deals with subcultural exchange and collective identity within urban societies. It plays with the paradox of striving individualism through collectivism in forms of self-positioning and scene-hopping.

The aspiring fashion designer uses „style as bricolage“ as a tool to combine the youth subcultures she has experienced in her lifetime. Therefore the final collection is a melted creature of all of them.

Translated and visualised mostly through upcycling, deconstruction and draping based on her very own gut instinct.

Fabric manipulation such as burning marks, holes and cut und tie go hand in hand with felted real human hair details, big silhouettes, round forms and different techniques of lacing to complete the collection.

Alisia Wood is a berlin based state certified clothing technical assistant and fashion design student at HTW Berlin - University of Applied Sciences.
